The Market champion!! Whenever we cook tasters for shows or markets this dish is our best seller, it?s a Starly?s recipe, which has slight similarities to Tikka Masala but with a little more bite. The cayenne pepper and paprika, contrast wonderfully with the cream and yoghurgt creating a silky texture, ending with a satisfying kick.
Recipe (Serves 4)
You will need...
- 4 diced chicken breasts
- Starly’s chilli masala sachet
- 2 medium sized onions (grated)
- 6 tsp vegetable/olive oil
- 240ml single cream
- 50ml natural yogurt
- 4 cloves of garlic (crushed)
- 1 tbsp spoon tomato puree
- Coriander to garnish
- 1 tsp of salt (essential)
Method
In a bowl mix together the yogurt, salt, lemon juice, tomato puree, and 2 tsp of the spices. Add the meat and let it marinade for 30 minutes.
Heat the oil in a saucepan a medium heat. Add the onions and garlic and fry until soft. Add the rest of the spices and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
Stir in the cream, and then add the chicken and simmer for 20 minutes. Add a little water if sauce is to thick.
Add coriander to garnish, serve with rice and enjoy!
If you choose to use different meat, adjust cooking times appropriately.
